Reading text: Leo normally cycles to work because his office is only twenty minutes from his home. One Monday morning, however, it was raining heavily and his bicycle had a flat tyre. He decided to take the bus. Leo left home at half past seven and walked to the nearest bus stop. The bus arrived ten minutes late, but there were enough seats, so he sat near the window and listened to a podcast.
When Leo arrived at work, he discovered that several colleagues had also travelled by bus because of the bad weather. In the afternoon, the rain stopped. Leo walked home slowly and stopped at a bakery on the way. The journey took longer than his usual bicycle ride, but he enjoyed the quiet walk. Since that day, he has kept an emergency bicycle pump in a drawer near his front door.
